Eli Zoller

Eli Zoller
Guitar Associate

With a strong love and incredible intuition for music, and the need to simply rock out, Eli began playing the guitar at 13 years old. Beginning with the ever-so popular self-teaching method, he spent his free time with his favorite classic rock records learning every song chord by chord and every solo note by note. With the ability to duplicate his favorite Jimi Hendrix songs for his parents after only a year and a half, they quickly moved him into classical/jazz training with extensive music theory. By the time he reached college, Eli was already playing in pit orchestras in place of professional musicians.

Upon moving to the city, Eli began assuming a regular schedule of playing professional gigs, recordings, and tour groups in multiple styles and genres playing guitar, bass (up-right and electric) and drums. He has also began a successful pursuit of music direction and orchestration for show such as greeneyes, a new musical, which appeared at the 2008 New York Fringe Festival, and Peter Mills’ 2009 Off-Broadway bluegrass musical Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge, in which his music direction behind his guitar received acclaim from multiple publications, including the New York Times.

Eli holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan School of Music. Having had the pleasure of being a freelance guitar teacher in the city, Eli could not be more excited to be with the New York Vocal Coaching. Eli believes, along with his close friend Justin and everyone at New York Vocal Coaching, that the most successful and enjoyable approach to private teaching is the comfort, desire, and aspiration of the student. With some of the most reasonable rates in the city, and an open mind, Eli looks forward to enhancing your knowledge and enjoyment of guitar!
